We generally get to Benacre Broads by driving
to South Cove and walking from there - taking the left hand side takes us to
Benacre Broads. On my weblog, I have some pictures and a description of
the walk we take to get there - just
We were fortunate enough to obtain a pamphlet
from English
Nature which provides (as does the website) loads of interesting information
regarding plants and animals within the Nature Reserve.
This
movie clip shows Benacre Broad and when it gets to the right hand side - you
can clearly see the North Sea. This second
clip is very similar, but is longer and shows a more panoramic view.
It was also taken from inside the hide (sorry about the end!)
This
next movie clip was taken on the sand/shingle beach that separates the
Broads from the Sea.

Benacre Broad (2004)
It is possible to walk to Kessingland from here
- but, as we have already covered that, at the beach you can follow the
coastline by returning the way you walked (much safer) or - and I would not
really advise this, you can continue walking along the beach and when you get to
South Cove, climb a sandy cliff to get back to the car! Not recommended
especially as walking this route is also tide dependant - the tide comes up to
the cliffs.
So, back at South Cove if you had turned right,
your journey would take you to Covehithe & Eastern Broads.
