Look East / Council Tax

I am currently watching the local news programme Look East and am now wondering who on earth writes the scripts for the newsreaders.
Is the Look East TV show credible? Or are they doing what they have been asked/told to do?
A reporter just said something similar to "That after weeks of anguishing behind closed doors" ... in relation to the council calculating the increase in our council tax.
Who are they kidding???? The main reason, imo, is that we have yet again another increase because of mismanagement of the pension funds which we, as tax payers, are now paying for.
Yet again .... (no suprise there) the council tax is going to be increased above the rate of inflation ....

Children in danger 'cos of mum?

Not having children - I may be incorrect, but I would of thought that the main instinct of a mother is to look out for the safety of a child ... especially if that child is a small baby or infant - but perhaps I am wrong 
Why .... simple really. Whilst out driving this morning an event occured TWICE ... which made me think that some (not all) mothers are brain dead or have no fear of anything even when they have a tiny infant in their arms.
Why do mothers often open doors and let their offspring leave the car into the road instead of using the kerbside?? Lunacy. One of the mothers today had the rear door wide open .... and just lifted the infant from the cot ... really dangerous both to her and the infant ... why didn't she use the kerb side (ie the SAFE) side of the car???
I often see this kind of thing ... mum unlocks the car and little Jonny or Jenny waits in the road until mum allows them in the car !!!
Madness I tell you .... its madness and it happens way too often .... why ???

Happy New Year .... time to clear out the cobwebs?

Happy New Year .... may this year be better than the last one! I wish you health, happiness and wealth - in that order!
We decided to go for a walk - to clear out the old cobwebs. Where did all the people come from who were also walking along the beach?? There was a chill to the air and the slight breeze was nippy - but there were so many people about, we thought it must be summer!
Well, both we and all those other people we saw today have made a good start towards being healthier ..... I wonder just how many people will be about in a couple of weeks time, when those initial good intentions have been forgotten! We'll see 
Again, have a healthy and happy new year .... to be honest, we hope the wealth bit comes our way via the lottery, and if not, at least we try!
